Michael Hoelscher, Prof. Dr. phil. habil. Professor at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer since 2015, where he is also leading the M.P.A. programme in Higher Education and Research Management. He studied at the Universities of Bremen and Leipzig, got his D.phil. from Free University Berlin, worked as a Postdoc at the HoF Halle-Wittenberg, the universities of Oxford, Heidelberg and Chemnitz. Michael is also Chair of the German Society for Research into Higher Education (GfHF) and Member of the board of the Centre for Higher Education and Research Management (ZWM). His main research interests are international comparisons of higher education systems, knowledge transfer, research management and the interplay between (creative) cities and their (regional) research organisations.
