Dr. Buckner is currently working on a number of research projects related to private higher education, including: 1) compiling cross-national date on university enrollments at the institutional level, for over 5,000 public and private universities between 1955-2015; 2) Case studies of sub-national variations in private higher education in China, Canada and the UAE; and 3) whether the expansion of the private sector is associated with changes in wealth-based inequalities in access to higher education.
