Mr. Karol Mark Yee is currently Research Fellow at the University of the Philippines-Center for Integrative and Development Studies (CIDS) Higher Education Research and Policy Reform Program. He is also concurrently Chief of Party of YouthWorks Philippines, a five-year private sector-led project co-implemented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the Philippine Business for Education (PBED), and Founding Director of Habi Education Lab. Prior to this, he was Executive Director of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the main agency overseeing the higher education sector in the Philippines. He also served as Legislative Officer under the Senate of the Republic of the Philippines under former Senate President Edgardo J. Angara, then Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Education in the 15th Congress (2010-2013), working on national legislation, among them Republic Act 10533 or the K to 12 law, and Republic Act 10410 or the Early Years Act. He finished his Master of Education (Ed.M.) in International Education Policy in Harvard University as a Fulbright Scholar in 2014.
